Introducing: Magnolia Workshops. Online classes have become incredibly popular over the past few years. And with series like Masterclass, even celebrities are stepping in to give their best tips and tricks. Chip and Joanna Gaines recently launched their new Magnolia Network, which can be previewed on Discovery Plus. That alone is already exciting, but they recently announced that on July 15, 2021, they’re going to launch a series of online classes featuring some of their most talented creators.
At the moment, we don’t have a trailer for the classes just yet. So I’ve provided as many videos as possible to help you get a feel for each of the creators who will be teaching the courses.

Guide to Houseplants with Hilton Carter
Plants are incredibly popular right now. (I have also become a “plant mom” over the past couple years.) But for a lot of people, there is a huge learning curve, since every plant needs a different amount of water, sunlight, and care. This class run by Hilton Carter will help us learn how to be better plant moms and dads. If you want to know more, check out Hilton Cater’s instagram.
Making a Design Statement with Brian Patrick Flynn
Brian Patrick Flynn is an interior designer who is unlike any other. He doesn’t have a consistent design style that he copies and pastes onto every client. Instead, he meets the client first, and tries to incorporate their favorite colors, personality, and style preferences into the space. Designing with this mindset is actually great, because it’s applicable to any budget. Many of you might have seen Brian already on his TV show Mind for Design, or on his Instagram. So if you already love his design style, you’re definitely going to be interested in taking his class.

The Basics of Painting: Watercolor with Helen Dealtry
Helen Dealtry is an incredibly talented watercolor painter. If you’ve ever purchased a floral bowl from the Magnolia kitchen collection, you might already own a Helen Dealtry designed piece without even realizing it! Helen already hosts art workshops where she teaches watercolor painting, so she has plenty of experience teaching already. Joanna Gaines has posted on her Instagram about learning how to make her own floral paintings, and I can bet the skills came from Helen! I’m personally excited to take this class, because I have always wanted to get better at painting watercolors.
The Flower Growing Guide with Erin Benzakian
Many of you will recognize Erin Benzakian from the Magnolia Network show “Growing Floret”, as well as her super-popular flower blog, Floret. While she gets into a lot of tips and tricks on her blog and book series, we don’t get a lot of “how to” on her TV show. It’s more of a reality show featuring the life of what it’s like to own a flower seed farm. I’m personally excited to learn some of her expert tips on flower gardening, so that I can have an amazing cut flower garden myself one day.

Fundamentals of Baking: Cookies with Zoe Francois
Some of you may have already seen “Zoe Bakes” on the Magnolia Network. Zoe Francois is a famous author and baker who has a passion for sweets. On her TV show, she already does a lot of showing you how to bake. But on the Magnolia Workshops class, she is going to zero on on making the perfect cookies.
Techniques for Cooking with Katie Button
Katie Button is a professional chef and restauranteur from Asheville, North Carolina. Not only is she great at cooking, but she’s an entrepreneur and all-around amazing woman. So I’m excited to see what tips and tricks she can give us in the kitchen! If you want to know more about Katie Button, check her out on Instagram.

The Basics of Painting: Acrylics with Rebecca Weller
Rebecca Weller is an amazing acrylic painter whose art has been sold on products at Anthropologie and so much more. Her aesthetic fits in so well with the Magnolia brand. If you enjoy art and learning how to paint, this is going to be an exciting class. If you want to know more, Rebecca’s work is featured on her Instagram and YouTube Channel.

Fundamentals of Styling: The Dining Room with Hilary Walker
Interior designer Hilary Walker is going to take us through the basics of how to style a dining room. The dining room is one of those places that a lot of people struggle with. So this is going to be a great class to watch.
I’m really happy to see that Magnolia Workshops is providing 3 interior design classes. As a Masterclass subscriber, I watched the one and only interior design class by Kelly Wearstler. And while it was great, it was really very specific to her style. And a lot of the tips she gives are not applicable to anyone on a tight budget. So I personally think that there is a gap in the market that Magnolia is going to provide for us.

Fundamentals of Styling: The Living Room with Hilary Walker
Hilary Walker is the only person who gets to teach not just one, but two classes! This time, she’s teaching us how to style a living room. Obviously, you should probably take both classes to get the most out of the interior design tips.
