Looking for the Slytherin aesthetic? This gift guide is aimed to give you some ideas of what to buy for your own DIY Slytherin common room in your dorm room or bedroom at home. Or, you can buy something for the Slytherin in your life.
According to the Sorting Hat:
“Or perhaps in Slytherin,
You’ll make your real friends,
Those cunning folk use any means,
To achieve their ends.”
In case you don’t remember, The Slytherin common room is underwater in The Black Lake. Since it’s located in the dungeons of Hogwarts Castle, the lighting is very dark and green, with only a view of the lake water shining through the windows. In order to enter the Slytherin common room, you need to touch the damp stone walls and say the password, “pureblood”.

10. Green Leather Journal
Whether you’re still a student in school, or someone who likes to write their plans, you’re going to need a journal. There are plenty of official Harry Potter Slytherin journals out there. However, if you’re in college, you might be trying to simply go for the inspired Slytherin aesthetic. If you want a notebook without actually having the emblem emblems on the front, the next best thing is to have a green leather journal. This is a vegan leather journal by a British company called Beechmore Books. It’s small enough to fit into your purse or backpack. This way, you can jot down all of your cunning plans.

9. Nagini Mirror
This is one of the coolest things in the Pottery Barn Teen Harry Potter collection. It’s a golden mirror of Nagini, who appears as a snake in the Harry Potter films. In Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, we learn that Nagini is a Maledictus. She is a human who is cursed to transform into a snake. Since the Slytherin symbol is a snake, this is an obvious choice to use as a piece of decor in a Slytherin aesthetic bedroom. The one and only downside is that it’s $399.

8. The Draco Malfoy Candle
Everyone loves a scented candle, no matter what Hogwarts house you belong in. But this one in particular is very much a part of the Slytherin aesthetic. On the front of the candle, it says, “Smells like the Slytherin pureblood son of the cunning Lucius Malfoy. a foul, loathsome, evil, little cockroach who didn’t know you could read, turned into a Ferret, slugged by a girl and disarmed the great Albus Dumbledore… My Father will hear about this.” It smells like sweet cedar wood and apple. The burn time is around 50 hours, which is up there with high-end brands like Yankee Candle.

7. Slytherin Foil Cup
As a Slytherin, you love to spill the tea. But you can literally just sip on your tea in judgement of the peons below your stature. This is a great cup for taking iced coffee or tea on the go.

6. Slytherin Backpack
If you’re still a student, one of the best ways you can show off the Slytherin aesthetic is by having a green leather backpack. I love this one, because it has the subtle Slytherin symbol all over the backpack. But you won’t be able to see it from far away. Personally, I love when fandom items are more subtle instead of having an in-your-face logo. This gives you a perfect balance of both fashionable and send. Even if you’re an adult who has graduated with your degree, this backpack can still be great if you plan to travel on an airplane. They have restrictions for the sizes of backpacks you can take on a flight, and this should be small enough to pass the rules and regulations.

5. Snake Ring
Ready for some bling? This snake ring is under $5, and it looks very, very cool. There is also a lot of gold Slytherin jewelry out there, too. However, silver and green are the colors of Slytherin. So this fits in a lot better with the actual Slytherin aesthetic fashion.

4. Snake Ice Mold
If you’re planning to have a party with your friends, consider getting this snake ice mold. This mold in particular is the cobra, which isn’t the same species of snake that you typically see on the Slytherin crest. However, it still goes with the theme, especially if you’re trying to have a party in your dorm room. Your friends are basically guaranteed to love it. However, the only downside is that this ice mold only makes one snake. So it’s not going to be easy to create multiples of these. But if you plan it out ahead of time, it should make an amazing party memory.

3. Slytherin Purse
People in Slytherin are all about achieving financial success. So it only makes sense that your purse and wallet need to represent that green abundance. This leather Slytherin purse is actually really cute. The company makes versions in every Hogwarts house.

2. Prisoner of Azkaban Slytherin Edition
If you grew up reading the Harry Potter books, you might want to purchase some collector’s versions as you get older. This is a Slytherin edition of the Prisoner of Azkaban, which looks amazing with its green binding. There are also expensive box sets with all of the books in the Slytherin theme, but they’re significantly more expensive.

1. Slytherin Tote Bag
So far on this list, we have listed at least two leather bags. But what about a more casual situation? Or maybe you’re just going to the grocery store. This tote bag is perfect for just quickly going shopping for a few things. It can also be a great alternative to having a backpack. When I was in college, I always carried my textbooks and notebooks in tote bags like this, because I didn’t have to worry about it getting dirty. Totes like this can run through the washing machine, and then they’re good as new.
