Many of you will remember Clint Harp from his appearances on Fixer Upper. He is a professional carpenter and owner of Harp Design Co. Throughout Fixer Upper, he has made several custom tables and wooden works of art for Joanna Gaines. Now, he is the host of a Magnolia Network TV series called “Restoration Road”.
On Restoration Road, Clint travels throughout the United States to find some of the best unique historic renovations. In episode one, Clint travels to Deary, Idaho to help restore a train car from 1909. It was once apart of the historic Washington, Idaho, and Montana Line. We get to see how an old, forgotten train car is completely transformed into a guest house on a gorgeous 145 acre property. The owner, Webb French, also has an instagram account chronicling the journey from start to finish.
Unlike Chip and Joanna, Clint is acting more like a host of this series. He helps by creating a custom bench for the front porch, while the home owners and the construction team took over to create everything that needed to get done in Idaho.

One of the best parts of watching episode 1 is seeing the end result, and realizing that i’s actually possible for you to fo there. The restored 1909 train car is available to rent on AirBnB. At the time this was written, it costs $290 per night.
You can stay at Chip and Joanna Gaines’ houses, because they have listed their properties for rent on AirBnB, too. In an episode of Fixer Upper, Chip and Joanna helped to makeover Clint’s house. That has now gone up for rent at The Harp House.
