Not so long ago, it was announced that Chip and Joanna Gaines were stepping down from their series “Fixer Upper” on HGTV to pursue their biggest project yet- the Magnolia television network. The couple has been hard at work producing new content, as well as building a new hotel, renovating homes, and throwing public events at their property called The Magnolia Market at The Silos in Waco, Texas. Many of us had believed that they moved on to bigger and better things without any regrets.
That all changed on August 4, 2020. The creative couple posted an announcement video that they’re in for another season! This time, it will be airing on the Magnolia Network in 2021.
On the Magnolia website, Chip wrote a personal essay about their decision to leave HGTV, as well as their mindset behind returning. After taking a well-deserved break, they realized that they actually missed being on Fixer Upper.
Chip said, “In a lot of ways, the show is going to pick up right where it left off. These years in between have taught us a lot about ourselves and how we operate best, so we’re likely to do a few things a little differently this time around.”
This announcement couldn’t come at a better time. With so many people staying at home, it’s a time when many are choosing to make their house more comfortable by tackling long-neglected DIY projects. Many of have looked up to Chip and Joanna for inspiration, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store.
Joanna promised to send any updates on show announcements to the Magnolia Network Twitter account. So be sure to follow them if you’re eager to learn the release date.
