Gloria Vanderbilt passed away on June 17, 2019. The New York City heiress managed to accomplish so much in her 95 years, including creating her own denim fashion brand. But she wasn’t just designing clothes. The interior of her Manhattan apartment in the Upper East Side showed how truly unique her artistic and home decorating abilities had been.
In September of 2018, she gave The New York Post a tour of her penthouse apartment.
“What is beautiful to me may not be beautiful to someone else. What someone else does may not be what I like. But I always know that one thing leads to another, in the direction I am going.”
Her style is a blend of high-end kitsch, color, and simply…Wild. But in the best kind of way. She even went on to create her own works of art.
“I do have a lot of fantasy and imagination. It certainly is what inspires me. There are very few places left where I have room to do any more.”
